We are so happy that you and your child are a part of our Parkside community. We understand that due to the current situation, we have been unable to provide a traditional transition to our school. In light of this we have provided a few things detailed on this page, to help your child settle into our Parkside Family.

Things to do over the Summer
We have a few things that we will be giving to you by the end of this term, including a buddy booklet and an All about me sheet. We will be activating Tapestry logins for you that will help you keep up to date with what your child has been up to in school. We would love it if you could update us with things your child has been up to over the summer! This can be done by uploading couple of pictures on Tapestry and we can chat about this in September.

Over the summer we would like you to complete this "All about me" sheet with your child. This will help us to get to know them better at the start of term and inform our planning.
Tapestry
At Parkside we use an online learning journal called Tapestry to record your child's learning in Reception and our Preschool.
You will be sent an email from us to activate your own account. This will allow you to see any photos and videos that have been taken of your child at school and read any observations that the EYFS team have made of them.
You will also be invited to add to your child's journal as the year progresses. We have provided a video tutorial to support you with the logging in process.
