Welcome from the class teacher
Hello, I’m Nicole Worsell and I’m the Year 6 teacher at Parkside School. I was lucky enough to complete my final teaching placement here in 2015, and shortly after, I took up my current role of class teacher. I’ve enjoyed working in both key stages and my favourite subjects to teach are maths and PE.
Year 6 is the last year of primary school and it has so much to offer. We cover many exciting topics: Frozen Kingdoms, Britain at War and Maafa just to name a few. We take part in lots of sporting competitions with other schools and we put on an end-of-year performance for our Parkside community. The highlight of the year for me has to be the Year 6 Activity Week, which is something we run in the summer term. It’s a week jam-packed with exciting opportunities - for many, this is a chance to try activities which haven’t been experienced before.
