The School's Friends of Parkside (PTA) is a registered charity (1164184) consisting of a friendly voluntary team of parents and teachers. We work together to raise valuable funds for the school that would otherwise fall outside of the school budget.

Each year also has class reps (representatives) that communicate PTA/event/school related topics within each year’s chosen message system. These class reps are elected at the first PTA meeting of each academic year.
PTA Meetings
We aim to meet every second Tuesday of each month at the School at around 7.30. In these meetings we discuss fundraising opportunities, events being planned and how money raised will be spent. We are a friendly group who welcome any new members.

How you can get involved in the PTA
We understand that people have busy lives and the expected commitment of ‘joining’ could seem too much. We appreciate help in any shape or form. You could give as little or as much time as you have or want. For example:
30mins to help staff a stall
a couple of hours of your time helping at a longer event
behind the scenes help, such as filling sweet cones or folding raffle tickets
a more formal role as a committee member
use your skills to enhance fundraising efforts (graphic designers, bbq pros, social media help etc!)
coming up with ideas at the PTA meetings without being on the committee.
It's really up to you and whatever time you can spare, we are extremely grateful of.

Volunteers do not have to regularly attend meetings; however, anyone is very welcome to attend.
Fundraising
As well as running events, there are also a number of fundraising opportunities each of us can donate to:
Amazon Smile
Amazon Smile gives 0.5% commission to the school on eligible purchases for no cost to you. It is really easy to set up and once done it will give the school commission based on every eligible purchase you make. It can be setup in the App or via the browser.
EasyFundraising
The school is registered with easyfundraising where you can raise FREE donations for us when you do your everyday online shopping. All you have to do is find the retailer you want to shop with on the easyfundraising website or App, shop as usual and the retailer will donate to us when you make a purchase – at no extra cost to you! This means you can support the school when you do your grocery shopping, book holidays or days out, order takeaways, buy things for the kids, or even when you renew your insurance and energy policies.

Employer Match Funding can raise £1000s, can you help?
If you work for an organisation that has a match funding policy, any money you raise could be matched by your employer. Companies may match the fundraising total for an event, or for the stall that their employee is working on.
